My paintings have been inspired from a variety of subjects,

ranging from the nuances of reflection found in a metal sculpture

to the formation of fog moving into the city at night.

I see abstraction in almost everything.

And that is what my paintings truly are: abstractions.

They are not intended to have recognizable images.

The intention is to utilize color, texture, and spatial dimension

to create a sensitive study of visual contemplation.

I hope to build a relationship with the viewer;

to entice people to look deeper into the painting

and to see what is beyond the obvious;

to reach into themselves and explore their own reaction;

to be free to interpret their experience as personal and individual.
